Health services Administration

The Health care Administration department provides education and training opportunities in health care administration for students with high school certificate and guaranties the proper health administration job for them in the associated hospitals. Our aim is to provide students the best technical skills in the field of health management through theoretical and hospital practice.

Health care administration program prepares students who are keen to pursue a career in administration to enhance and lead health networks and systems. The program builds students' skills to develop, plan and manage health care services within health care facilities and across health care systems. Skills provided for health care industries include Strategic planning, Health care systems operation and management, Health law and ethics, Marketing, Human Resources, Quality management, Purchasing, Insurance, Billing, Finance, accounting, Office management, Reception management and Medical records.  

 Who are health administrators?

Health care administrators are educated individuals who have full line responsibility for the administrative management of health care delivery system using all available resources to provide the best possible patient care. They work for the support and advocacy of health care, including promotion of a safe environment, research, participation in shaping health policy, make recommendations regarding expansion or reduction of services and managing the need of services, equipment and personnel.

Study Program

Health Administration program is two and a half years filled with professional learning experience and supervised hospital practice in many hospital departments.

The curriculum is designed on three consequent levels of learning;

1^st Level: It includes two semesters (1^st & 2^nd). It emphasizes on English Language and Computer Sciences in addition to the principles of Healthcare Management and its supported subjects.

2^nd Level: It includes two semesters (3^rd & 4^th). It focuses on one the specialties under Health Services Administration program; General Administration (GA), Medical Records (MR.) and Medical secretaries (MS).

3^rd Level: It includes six months as Internship period (Practical Training) in which the students will practice their gained knowledge's and skills in healthcare sittings. The students will be approached to departments that are concerned with their specialty.
